On April 18th, 2009 LHCC Benevolence Ministry made its first distribution of food, household cleaning supplies, personal care items and a variety of other items to 7 families.

As of January 21, 2012 the program is now serving 58 families and has had 146 families that have finished receiving assistance through the program.

The goal of this Ministry is to assist those struggling families and individuals transition back to a self sustaining life. The Ministry also offers spiritual guidance, financial counseling and information on various other resources.

The Church and Pastoral staff are deeply committed in reaching out to those in need in our community.

Having compassion on a needy brother is proof of the love of God within us. -1 John 3:17

We encourage the members of our congregation to get involved in this Ministry. It a great opportunity to serve in the Church and to help those in need.
